Making games, making art, one release at a time
Hi! Welcome! My name is Miya Loustalot, Technical Game Designer; and I love creating (and playing) games of all types.
This website is part portfolio and part blog, with the aim of explaining my workflow and thoughts on game development,
among other things.
Please enjoy!
Highlight 1 – Masquerade

Lead Game Design & Technical Design | Unreal
Group Project | 9 Month | Released 16 May 2025
Masquerade is our Graduation Project, a Romeo and Juliet-inspired puzzle-narrative game where, guided by the mysterious Narrator, you’ll navigate a deceptive theater filled with rotating sets, puzzles and hidden dangers. But beware—a menacing shadow looms over this place…
Highlight 2 – Place On Fire
All Aspects | Unreal
Solo Project | 2 Month | Released 11 May 2025
Place On Fire is a “chaotic rotisserie turned multitasking endurance marathon”. Based on small individual challenges that synergize together, it slowly ramps up the difficulty to kindly overwhelm the player with different gameplays.
Highlight 3 – Event Dispatcher Hub

Blueprints Programming | Unreal
Solo Project | First version done in 2022
The Event Dispatcher Hub is a custom Unreal Engine plug-in developed to allow for game-wide, reference-free Event calling and binding, inspired by Knut Øverbye’s work. Its simplicity and designer-friendliness have made it appear in every project since its creation in 2022, including my graduation project Masquerade found above.
