“In this immersive puzzle-adventure game, you play as Romeo, trying to save his love Juliet, who has been turned into a puppet. Guided by the mysterious Narrator, you’ll navigate a deceptive theater filled with rotating sets, puzzles and hidden dangers. A twist on the original story of Romeo & Juliet. But beware – a menacing shadow looms over this theater.

Masquerade is our graduation project, a year-long production done during our fifth year at ArtFX as a conclusion of our learning adventure, and a first step into the game industry.
As our first project with a team of this size and a production time this long, this was an incredible opportunity and we all are very proud of the result.

Masquerade’s gameplay is a mix of simple puzzles and more action-focused parts with dangerous lights.
Our main mechanic is a wheel, sometimes upgraded with a selector part, allowing the player to rotate the décor around them. We also have a push-pull mechanic and red projector-lights that kill you if you’re seen.
